The Duke Energy Hines Power Block 4 (PB4)
simulator was developed by WSC in 2012 and included Combustion Turbine (CT) and
Steam Turbine (ST) virtual GE Mark VI controls with a Cimplicity HMI, and
virtual Emerson Ovation controls/HMI for the Balance of Plant (BOP). WSC will
update the existing virtual GE controls/HMI to be in sync with the new Mark VIe
controls and Cimplicity HMI in the plant and will provide a full emulation of
the Ovation DCS controls and HMI.
Additionally, WSC will update the simulator's 3KEYMASTER Instructor Station to access the emulated HMI screens and provide our 3KEYITS Intelligent Tutoring System with PB4-specific lessons based on the lessons developed for Hines PB1-PB3.
