WSC to Support Honeywell Migration of Duke Energy RNP OTS to Updated Platform
Honeywell
Process Solutions (HPS) is migrating the Duke Energy Robinson Nuclear Plant
(RNP) Operator Training Simulator (OTS) to a new computer hardware set with
Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Operating System (OS) in a Virtual Machine (VM). To facilitate Honeywell's efforts, WSC is
providing support for migration of the Hard Panel OTS and the Control Room
GlassTop Simulator (CRGTS) by:
- Identifying,
installing, and configuring new compilers required for the move to the new OS.
- Rebuilding
and reconfiguring WSC's 3KEYMASTER simulation software and the RNP load under
the new environment, OS and compilers.
- Reintegrating
the Hard Panel OTS and the CRGTS on the new Virtual Machines.
- Participating
in regression testing and supporting corrective actions related to the
migration, as required.
- Supporting
Duke Energy's RNP Simulator team for functional and performance testing of the
integrated system on the updated platform.
WSC
support efforts will be performed in our Frederick offices, and both on-site
and remotely at the Robinson and Honeywell facilities.
