WSC to Improve the GEH BWRX-300 SAE IPDE Engineering Simulator Platform
WSC will be making improvements to the GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy
(GEH) BWRX-300 SAE (Simulation Assisted Environment) IPDE (Integrated Plant Design
Environment) Engineering Simulator Platform. This BWRX-300 SAE IPDE is based on,
and improved from, previous GEH/WSC team experience in development of the
ESBWR SAE Mule.
WSC will improve the GEH BWRX-300 SAE IPDE by:
- Adding
GE's proprietary Transient Reactor Analysis Code (TRACG), a tool used for
analysis of boiling water reactor transients, as the Reactor Thermal-Hydraulic
and Neutron Kinetics model inside WSC's 3KEYMASTER environment. The BWRX-300
SAE will include both RELAP5 and TRACG and a means to switch between the two.
- Enhancing
the current RELAP5 BWRX-300 model with a 3D kinetics model to replace the
current point model, also providing a graphical interface for visualization of
the reactor parameters, such as Power Density, Fuel Temperature, Moderator
Temperature, Void Fraction, and Rodded Fraction.
- Establishing
an enterprise grade BWRX-300 3KEYMASTER SAE IDPE Comprehensive Simulation
Platform Cloud-based solution configured for the BWRX-300 SAE simulator. This will
also include WSC's cloud-based 3KEYSAFE Configuration Management System and
supporting IT environment, needed to set up and use a Cloud-based development
environment, to contain all available BWRX-300 design bases generated by WSC in
conjunction with, or provided by GEH, with supporting design artifacts.
