WSC and CNPSC have delivered the first implementation of the MELCOR severe accident model linked to a CPR 1000 simulator to the China Nuclear Radiation & Safety Center.

The simulator and severe accident model will be used for safety and operational studies.  The simulator deploys WSC 3KEYMASTER simulation technology, RELAP5-RT (licensed through Idaho National laboratory) and MELCOR 2.1 (licensed through Sandia National Laboratory).  The project implementation was described in paper presented to the WSC Consortium Meeting held in Fort Worth, TX in October (download)
